Pulse is delighted to be working alongside a large NHS hospital in Central London which is internationally recognised for their care of paediatric patients, to recruit a Band 6 nurse for their cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU).
We are looking for a Band 6 paediatric nurse with a minimum of 2 year’s experience who is now wanting a new exciting challenge and wanting genuine career development.
Applicants are required to be a qualified nurse with current NMC registration.
This is a Band 6 post – in accordance with the NHS pay scales candidates will also be able to take advantage of the NHS pension and generous annual leave entitlement.
We expect nurses to have current or previous cardiac intensive care nursing experience. Furthermore, the nurse will have a proven track record in training and mentoring other nurses on their team. This would suit a paediatric band 5 nurse now wanting the next step up in their career, as we all a band 6 nurse now wanting to take on a new challenge.
This is a busy unit has 20 ICU beds and provides acute nursing care for various cardiac critically ill patients – as the largest paediatric cardiothoracic and ICU in the UK. Patients cared for within this major referral centre include; heart and lung transplantations, tracheal reconstruction, thoracic surgery and pulmonary hypertension.
This CICU is a supportive environment which is well structured with leading consultants and nurse managers within their field! There is also a dedicated Practice Educator and Facilitator Team to offer guidance and support to all employees.
