Position – Senior Registered Nurse – Cheshire

Salary – £18,000

Hours – Part Time

 

The Role:

Our client is looking to recruit a part-time skilled and motivated Senior Registered Nurse who is experienced and motivated in their work. They can offer our Nurses the opportunity to work in a challenging role in a supportive working environment dealing with a full range of surgeries, from minor procedures to major operations.

As a Senior Registered Nurse you will get the opportunity to work with some of the region’s best consultants so you will be open to innovative evidence-based clinical techniques. 

 

Working hours:   
This is a part time Registered Nurse role of 22.5 hours.

 

Role Purpose & Core Responsibilities:

  • The post is responsible for the assessment of care needs and the development, implementation and evaluation of programs of care. The post holder is responsible for carrying out all forms of nursing care within the clinical areas.
  • Ensure care plans are regularly updated using evidence-based practice.
  • Ensure that all patient information and treatment is accurately documented in their records.
  • Comply with all agreed nursing and organisational policies, procedures and protocols.
  • Ensure the safe custody and administration of drugs according to the controlled drug policy.
  • Support colleagues and management to ensure communication with all users of the service is of a high standard.

 

Knowledge / Skills / Qualifications:

  • Registered General Nurse.
  • Post registration relevant clinical course desirable.
  • Health Promotion background
  • Health Screening background
  • Pre-Assessment background       
  • Understanding of the NMC Code of Professional Conduct.
  • Knowledge of acute medical / surgical / orthopaedic nursing.
  • Ability to perform venepuncture and cannulation skills.
  • Able to perform Electro-cardiograms.
  • Ability to interpret results to a level at which the need to escalate is known.
  • Must be willing to learn and be assessed as competent, in the aforementioned skills
  • Evidence of recent clinical update
