My client is looking for a Surgical Scrub Practitioner to join their dedicated Theatre Team at the Peterborough Hospital. This is an essential role to ensure the daily running of Theatre with a variety of consultants.

Job summary – 
The successful applicant will need to demonstrate the following:   

• A Registered Nurse or ODP qualification with excellent clinical skills and knowledge.
• Excellent patient focused communication skills – written and verbal.
• A passion for delivering an excellent service.

Key Responsibilities – 
As a Scrub Practitioner, you will undertake all aspects of clinical work within theatres, providing a high standard of patient care and safety in accordance with requirements. 

Key duties will include:
• Cleaning and disinfection of the theatre and equipment, in between, and after the daily theatre cases 
• Responsibly for the “total patient” in your care during the peri-operative phase 
• Maintaining patient privacy and confidentiality 
• Preventing injuries and sepsis 
• Understanding and executing correct procedures 
• Knowledge and understanding the correct “scrubbing” procedures 
• Undertaking any specific duties as delegated by the Team Leader on an ad-hoc basis
