 Position – Registered Nurse - Critical Care – South Yorkshire

Salary – £28,742
Hours – Full Time – 37.5 hours

 

Our client has a vacancy for a Registered Nurse to join their team of staff within the Critical Care Department. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who is passionate about patient care and customer service and someone who is flexible and adaptable.

 

Duties of this role include:

Assess, plan, implement and evaluate individual patient care

To act as a mentor and educator offering support and guidance for junior staff members and student nurses

To actively participate in clinical teaching in the HDU and ward areas

To participate in the induction programme for all newly appointed staff as required

To participate in the programme of continuing education and training for all staff as required

To ensure that the health and safety of all patients, visitors and staff in line with the hospital policies

Report any incidents or accidents in line with the Health & safety policy

To assist in other wards or departments as required

 

We are looking for applicants to have the following:

Teaching/mentorship qualification is desirable

Preferably post registration clinical course in HDU or other Acute Experience ie SAU / MAU

Up to date knowledge in acute medicine / surgery

Aware and evidence of putting into practice the NMC code

Proven experience in a hospital setting

HDU experience or a busy SAU / MAU

HDU qualification / competencies desirable

Surgical Ward experience preferred

 

Working Hours:

This is a full time role for an RGN to work 37.5 hours a week.
