Pulse Nursing are now looking for an experienced Psychiatric Liaison Nurse to work within Cheshire and the surrounding areas. You will be offered ad-hoc shifts to fit around your availability within our growing client base. This is an exciting opportunity to work for an agency which understands the demand work and home life can entail. Applicants require experience in providing:

•Comprehensive risk assessments of patients.

•Mental state examination.

•Awareness of the legislative framework of the mental health act and mental capacity act.

•Advice on medication to clients.

•Promotion of mental health to both professionals and service users.

Psychiatric Liaison Nurses are excellent communicators and have a repertoire of therapeutic intervention skills, as well as being able to demonstrate a commitment to their continuing professional development. The applicant must have a warm and friendly disposition and have very good communication and interpersonal skills. They must be a team player, be confident and motivated as well as being able to show initiative. They must be robust and resourceful and willing to work outside their comfort zone in an environment which can be demanding and stressful.
