The Oncology Department is growing and looking for staff that can shape and develop the unit. You will have the opportunity to work within our 8 bed inpatient oncology / medical ward. The department has excellent links with Oncology Centres within London and offers the best use of the latest cutting edge technology.
To assess, plan, deliver and evaluate high standards of nursing care. To work within a team, supervising and directing junior staff and deputising for Senior Staff Nurse in their absence.
The Shift patterns will consist of 2 evenings per week and alternate weekends PLUS rotation onto night duty every 4 to 6 weeks. Shifts are 11.5 hours with internal rotation from day shift to night shift.
Duties and Responsibilities
• To have a good understanding of medical, haematology and oncology nursing.
• To demonstrate compassion and empathy at all time.
• To work closely with the multidisciplinary team in order to provide the best possible experience for our patients.
Skills & Experience
• Registered Nurse Level 1 – NMC Registration
• Oncology experience is essential
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, be able to effectively use time and ensure the highest level of clinical care and customer care skills.
