At Pulse Nursing South West we’re looking for Mental Health Care Assistants to care, on a 1:1 basis, for vulnerable patients in a busy general hospital in Bournemouth.
This is a 700-bed hospital and you’ll be ‘specialling’ – that is, working specifically with one patient who may be in any of the hospital units. You could be looking after an elderly, frail patient, someone with a learning disability or a patient having an acute mental health episode. The level of support required will have been assessed by the Mental Health team and you will be fully supported throughout your shift.
To work with Pulse as a Mental Health Healthcare Assistant you need:
- 6 months’ experience within a mental health unit in the last 12 months
- To be able to provide 2 clinical references
