Position – Hospital Manager – Locked Rehabilitation

Salary – £40,000 - £50,000 + Car Allowance + Bonus

An exciting opportunity has arisen in the South Yorkshire area. The hospital is home to a specialist service for adolescents with a range of complex needs. They provide treatment across a number of settings from critical care to rehabilitation, supported by their on-site school. There are also two services for adult women – a low security ward and a rehabilitation unit; both help each service user on their individual pathway to recovery.

They are seeking a Hospital Manager who is; motivated, hard working, enthusiastic and ambitious, to join their company. You should be highly organised and skilled individual with a wealth of experience in the field to lead, inspire and motivate a team. You will have significant management experience in a hospital setting along with experience working with both adults and also ideally adolescents with psychological, emotional and addiction problems. You will be well versed with relevant CQC guidelines and legislations ensuring that all standards are not only adhered to but exceeded. As Hospital Manager you will also possess a proven track record of operational management of services, delivering quality patient outcomes and be competent in business management within a healthcare environment.
Working in the role of Hospital Manager You will be responsible for:
Line management of the Maintenance, Housekeeping, Security, Catering and Administration Leads to ensure all non-clinical departments function within budgetary and regulatory requirements.
In conjunction with other members of the management team, ensure that mandatory training is provided and attended by all staff annually.
Ensure all relevant departments are supervised, appraisals are up to date and monthly team meetings take place
Together with the Corporate Health and Safety Manager and local leads, ensure the hospital is compliant with H&S regulations and all risk assessments and safe systems of work are in place and adhered to across the hospital i.e. slips trips and falls
Be the primary point of contact for all insurance related matters. Ensure all incidents are reported as appropriate to the relevant insurers, investigated where required and actions put in place to address any shortfall
Ensure that the hospital is kept in a good state of repair, conducting regular audits and inspections
Be responsible for monthly audit cycles which may include maintenance request compliance, admin audit
In conjunction with the Hospital Director be responsible in checking and signing off all payments relating to the purchase ledger
Work with members of the management team to identify service development opportunities and implement service improvements
Develop and update relevant internal policies and procedures where required
To participate in regular audit and to develop internal audit standards
Attend meetings, both internal and external, as required
Assist in contract monitoring exercises
Assist with completion of CQC registration, MSU standards audits as requested
