The Vacancy –
My client is currently recruiting for an Endoscopy Nurse to join its Endoscopy Unit. The ideal candidate will provide support to the team to ensure the high standard of care to patients, supported by evidence based practice.
Please note, my client is happy to consider registered nurses without Endoscopy experience as training can be provided.
My client provides surgery in their outpatient, day case or inpatient departments depending on your clinical needs. Their goal is to provide you with the fastest pathway to high quality assessment and treatment that they can.
•Maintain and monitor high standards of care by using a systematic approach to individualised care, by planning and delivering care around the model of nursing in the clinical area
•Ensure all documentation is completed, legible, signed and kept relevant and up to date
•Maintain knowledge base of equipment used within the unit (i.e. manual handling devices, cardiac arrest equipment etc)
•Be responsible for maintaining safe custody, witnessing, recording and delivery of all medication to patients in accordance with the Treatment Centre’s policy
•Be aware of the NMC Code of Conduct and work within its confines
•Perform duties with due regard to the Scope of Professional Practice and be willing to extend skills for the benefit of patient care
•Have a good understanding of the difference between local anaesthetic and sedation and to give appropriate advice accordingly
