Pulse Nursing has a fantastic opportunity for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Band 6 Community Psychiatric Nurse (CPN), to join our Community Recovery Team. The team works with adults covering the borough of Hounslow. We are a service user led service and work with adults that have mental health issues and require support with their physical health needs. Caseloads are a mixture of service users with long and enduring mental health issues, acute mental health issues and new assessments into our team.

 The Recovery Team is a multidisciplinary team, comprising of mental health nurses, occupational therapists, psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, employment specialists and support workers.

The post is a dedicated Duty and Transition worker post, which consists of offering mental health assessments to those referred into the service and those needing reviews. It is based in in the Duty hub of the Recovery Team and the post holder must also respond to crisis calls; liaise with SPA / Crisis and Assessment Team, CAMHs, GPs and Primary Care.

The current post is for 37.5 hours a week. The Recovery Team working hours are Mon-Friday 9am-5pm. 

Requirements

  • Post registration experience with significant years of working with adults with mental health problems and a minimum 6 months of working with adults in a community setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a sound understanding of current government legislation, demonstrate the ability to work as part of a MDT and provide high quality care with evidence based therapeutic assessments, interventions and completion of accurate and timely documentation.
  • Specialist skills in mental health assessment, risk assessment, safety planning and medication administration.
  • Car owner/driver would be ideal but not essential as it is about finding the right person
