Are you a Dermatology clinical nurse specialist (CNS) now looking for the next step forward in your career? If so, this may be the right Band 7 role for you!

Pulse is working alongside one of London leading NHS Trust to recruit a Band 7 Dermatology Nurse for their service.  This is a clinical nurse specialist position within dermatology nursing therefore, a keen interest and extensive experience within this specialty is required.

The Day Treatment Unit currently offers a range of therapies for both children and adults including;

  • Phototherapy
  • Lontophoresis
  • Topical treatments

There are opportunities to develop your skills and experience in other areas such as the minor surgery course to enable a nurse led minor skin biopsy list. The successful candidate will lead in the running and organisation of the unit, as well as supporting the outpatient service with patch testing, biologic and systemic monitoring clinics.

This is a permanent, full time Band 7 post to offer clinical leadership to a team of Dermatology nurses across a day treatment unit.

The department runs Monday – Friday and regular working hours. The salary is up to £48,256 per annum + benefits.

You will be supported by band 5 and Band 6 nurses, experience and an understanding of caring for Skin Cancer patients is also desirable as you will be caring for such patients.

The dermatology CNS will act as a resource for training and development in addition to maintaining recruitment and retention across the department.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience within a dermatology setting
  • An understanding and experience with phototherapy
  • Complex wound management experience
