Position: Care Nurse Lead – Neuro Rehab – Ashford

Salary: £25,000 - £33,000 - DOE
Hours: Full Time 

The Centre:-
Ashford’s Rehabilitation centre provides specialist short-term and long-term person-centred rehabilitation, therapy and support for adults with either a brain injury or other complex neurological conditions. They also care for patients who are no longer able to be cared for at home but who with some specialist help can take part in everyday activities and live as independently as possible. 

Vacancy:

My client is looking for a professionally recognised (nurse or allied healthcare professional) Care Lead to ensure the effective provision of care within the residential/slow stream rehabilitation unit at the centre. The role will place you in the Senior Management Team, reporting directly to the Hospital Director.

Job Summary: 
• Responsibility for providing effective daily leadership and mentoring to team leaders and junior staff.
• To model good clinical practice, including effective care planning and record keeping and the promotion of client engagement and participation and activity.
• Liaising with the multi-disciplinary team to contribute into the safe and effective running of the Service.
• Monitoring standards of care and taking action where standards are not met.
• Ensuring effective communication systems are established and maintained between patients, families, staff and external agencies.
• Ensuring that staff are regularly appraised on performance and all development needs are identified and actioned accordingly including:
• Working with and participating in an on-call service with senior colleagues
• Taking responsibility for own personal development through performance and development reviews and attending all relevant training.

Qualifications & Experience:
• A current professionally recognised healthcare qualification/registration (nursing or allied healthcare)
• Experience of working with clients with complex care needs behavioural difficulties and difficulties with functional activity and participation.
• A person centred ethos, showing empathy and a desire to make a difference.
• The ability to manage, motivate, lead and supervise a team.
• Up-to-date knowledge of Health & Safety Legislation & Risk Assessment.
• A flexible and adaptable approach, be well organised and able to manage time and workload effectively in line with the needs of the service.
• A desire to expand your professional development and support organisational change.
• Clinical experience in multi-disciplinary care planning and treatment.
• Experience working with clients with complex care needs, behavioural difficulties and difficulties with functional activity and participation.
