The client is one of the major hospitals chains in the Kingdom of Bahrain, and the only healthcare provider which provides free health care exclusively for non-civilians in the country. They are opening a brand new, state of the art specialist Cardiac facility and are looking for seasoned professionals who will help cement and facilitate the establishment of a robust infrastructure of the new facility.

The role of the Infection Prevention and Control Manager is to ensure that, with his/her officers, the risk of infection to patients, visitors and staff is minimized through a range of prevention and control processes. Her role comprises of the following key elements:
Supervise and assist with the surveillance, analysis, and reporting of Healthcare Associated Infections (HAI) and Surgical Site Infections (SSI).
Development of policies and procedures to insure rigorous infection control standards that meet disease control requirements for the hospital facility.
Participate in the education of staff on infection control measures.
The Infection Control Manager is responsible for the hospital-wide Infection Control Program including surveillance and the development and implementation of infection control measures; the Employee Health Program; the development and presentation of educational programs relevant to Infection Control.
Western Passport (UK/USA/Canada/New Zealand/Australia & Europe)
Bachelor’s Degree in specialty (or related area)
5 years’ western clinical experience in specialty area
Expert knowledge in Infection Prevention & Control principles and epidemiology
Ability to understand and communicate clinical concepts and terms
Excellent written and spoken English
Enhanced CRB checks will be carried out
Bachelor’s Degree Nursing (or related area)
Infection Control experience in Cardiac Department/ Facility
Nursing experience in Cardiac Department/ Facility
