This prestigious award relies exclusively on the input of employees via an anonymous survey. The opinions of our staff determined our inclusion within the list, but also our rank in the Top 100.
Our performance was assessed in leadership, corporate social responsibility, internal communication, employee welfare and professional development. With over 1,200 staff, located across eight UK offices, it is encouraging that the results showed they benefit from personal growth, leadership and a fun team environment.
An impressive 93% of employees said that they can make a valuable contribution to the success of the company. We also received high scores in relationships with managers, with positive comments such as “I feel that my manager talks openly and honestly with me.”
25% of our staff have worked for us over five years, and 10% over 10 years. We feel this level of loyalty reinforces the positive working environment we aim to achieve at Pulse.

Staffing Agency of the Year, Health Investor Awards
We were named ‘Staffing Agency of the Year’ at the Health Investor Awards in 2012.
The independent judging panel included Lord Ara Darzi, best known for his national review of the NHS, Bob Ricketts, the Department of Health’s director of system management and new enterprise, and Martin Green, chief executive of the English Community Care Association.
The panel said, “The winners are genuine specialists with a real understanding of what is changing in the sector. They have plenty of evidence of delivery and success, reinforced by a focus on patients. And to cap it all they have broken into The Sunday Times 100 Best Companies to Work For.”
