Are you a compassionate and dedicated Wheelchair Therapist looking for an exciting new role?
Pulse is now seeking to recruit an Occupational Therapist who specialises in wheelchair therapy, to join a well-established team at our client’s service in Staffordshire. The post is available to start as soon as possible, working full-time and part-time hours per week in a permanent role.
Therapists applying will ideally have previous experience working within a wheelchair service.
Duties within this role will include:
- The post holder will work as a member of a highly skilled team of Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Rehabilitation Engineers and support staff within the Posture and Mobility centre providing Wheelchair and Special Seating services.
- The post holder will be involved in the assessment and provision of specialist equipment, these will include buggies and wheelchairs, active user wheelchairs, powered wheelchairs, pressure care cushions, postural support equipment, specialist seating and associated accessories.
- The post holder will be responsible for the assessment, prescription and supply of this equipment individually and within the team.
- The post holder will be responsibility for supervision of junior staff and students, education and training, and delegated service development activities
- The post holder will actively engage in training with a drive to develop themselves, others and the service.
To be considered for this role you must:
- Be HCPC registered
- Have previous experience working within a similar role
- Hold the relevant degree/qualifications in occupational therapy
- Full drivers licence and access to own vehicle
