Pulse Nursing have been given an exciting job opportunity in the Leicestershire area. We are looking for a Ward Manager that is positive, supportive and strives for excellence to take on this job.
About the Role
You will be providing clinical management and leadership of a full nursing team on the ward, this includes being a high visible role model and mentor to the nursing team.
The job responsibilities will include ensuring the ward has clear procedures and processes to support the safe and effective running of the ward at all times, taking appropriate action to ensure that the standard of care that patients receive is of the highest standard, managing the ward and resources effectively, taking steps to ensure that appropriate staffing levels and skill mix of nursing experience and skills are in place including effective rota management, annual leave/training arrangements and sickness and absence management.
A competitive salary paying up to £46,000 on skill and entry level! Discretionary welcome bonus up to £5,000 (May be applicable).
Shift Pattern
You will work a variety of shift patterns, which will include days, nights, weekends and holiday periods.
Requirements for this role
- Have at least 2 years experience in a supervisory capacity within a relevant clinical setting
- Ability to provide a clinical reference
- Current NMC or HCPC Registration
- Able to provide an enhanced DBS
- Has experience in management and leadership of teams.
- Good organisation
- Experience of clinical audit and/ or service improvement based on evidence desirable
