Working closely with an acute independent hospital based in London. It is in the heart of London’s medical district and is easily accessible via public transport. Pulse are looking for a Ward Manager to join their friendly, skilled, professional team. The hospital has full diagnostic facilities, operating theatres, and clinical trial units. Delivering outstanding
Job Type: Full-time, permanent
Salary: £48,000- £50,000 per year – Dependant on experience upon successful offer.
Duties and Responsibilities of a Ward Manager
- To liase with surgeons/ clinicians regarding procedures and requirements
- To be responsible for clinical stock control and ordering
- Participate fully as a team member, sharing knowledge and information and supporting colleagues to support a cohesive team and achievement of team objectives.
- Patient safety is maintained as a key priority, and in line with CQC requirements.
- Provide managerial direction and support to junior colleagues within the team in the delivery of the service, proactively anticipating and planning for trends whilst maintaining the cohesive team and structure and effective use of resources.
- Contribute to the development of clinical practice. Responsible for one to ones and personal development as well as address any
- To comply with and participate in the Company’s framework of clinical governance within the department area, seeking advice or guidance where necessary
Requirements of a Ward Manager
- You will be an NMC registered nurse
- Management qualification desirable
- Safeguarding Level 3 essential
- Three years management experience within a surgical environment
