Practice Nurse

Salary: up to £40,000 Per Annum

Full Time: Monday to Friday

Location: Central London

Pulse is currently recruiting for a full time, permanent, Practice Nurse to work within a private clinic located in Central London.

This is a unique and exciting opportunity to train and work as a practice nurse – we are looking for a nurse with a minimum of 2 years’ post qualification experience. Ideally exposure mentoring /training junior nurses.

The Practice Nurse will be responsible for providing patients with travel medicine advice and vaccinations and health screenings.

You will be working closely with the multi-disciplinary team consisting of GPs, other Nurses, practitioners and administrative staff.

The successful candidate will be expected to:

 

  • Treat specific conditions in accordance with agreed professional protocols and guidelines (including prescription of non-prescription drugs following patient group direction)
  • Provide nursing care at various sites and some nursing duties at in house clinics (off site) but still in Central London.
  • Be able to close episodes of care or signpost to appropriate team members/services as appropriate and refer to other practitioners when the individual’s needs are beyond own role/scope of practice.
  • Provide medication within an agreed framework (for example; patient group direction/independent, supplementary and extended prescribing) according to the agreed plan of care.

 

This is an opportunity to work Monday – Friday, regular working hours and a fantastic salary of up to £40,000 per annum.
