Theatre Scrub Nurse

Salary-£35,545 – £41,503 per annum 

Location-Central London

Pulse is delighted to be cooperating with the UK’s largest private hospital who are seeking for a motivated Theatre Scrub nurse to join their team at their main hospital site in Central London. This is a full-time, permanent position working 37.5 hours per week working Monday to Sunday. Mixed shifts of Earlies & Lates, with participation in the on-call rota (a requirement of working one Saturday or Sunday shift every four weeks).

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform scrub duties in accordance with rules and procedures, helping to improve quality and promote best evidence-based practise.
  • Perform all activities in a proficient and competent manner, including mandatory surgical checks prior to the procedure’s commencement, during, and before wound closure.
  • In partnership with all relevant healthcare experts, play the circulation role and promote a patient-centred approach to care.
  • Assemble, examine, and arrange surgical equipment, medications, and consumables for a wide range of surgical operations.

Requirements  

  • Registered Nurse or qualified Practitioner (registered with the NMC or the HCPC).
  • Proven expertise in an operating room environment, including relevant scrub protocols.
  • General scrub and circulating abilities, as well as prior experience applying clinical reasoning skills to a diverse patient case mix.
  • Excellent communication skills, 
  • The ability to work in sensitive and challenging situations as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • The ability to work autonomously
