Staff Nurse
Staff Nurse – Orthopaedics
Location: Central London, UK
Salary: £34,880 – £39,240 (annual) depending on experience
Role: Permanent, Full-Time position
Pulse is delighted to be working alongside the largest private healthcare group; providing award winning primary, acute and complex care, to recruit a Staff Nurse in one of their London hospitals. This hospital specialises in orthopaedics, urology, colorectal, gynaecology, breast and ear, nose and throat (ENT). They are looking to fill a permanent, full-time position; it is a Monday – Sunday role to cover internal rotation, and you will need to be flexible to work days, nights and weekends.
We are seeking an experienced Staff Nurse who is experienced in assessing, planning, delivering, and evaluating high standards of nursing care in a safe environment. You must be able to demonstrate good clinical practice and be accountable for all actions.

This is a very diverse role, where every day is different! This can be a fantastic opportunity to excel in your career and explore a variety of different cases that are not usually seen on an Orthopaedic ward! The impressive hospital has 127 registered beds, including 8 operating theatres with a recovery area on each floor, a nine-bedded critical care unit, an urgent care centre, as well as outpatient and diagnostic facilities.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Patient assessment
- Physical assessment
- Participating in ward rounds
- Administering treatments and medications
- Support patients with therapy and assistance for recuperation
- Work closely with various teams such as physiotherapists, doctors, other nurses
- Maintain a safe environment for both patients and staff
- Excellent communication
- Provide pre-placement medical reviews, case management, and supporting employee’s physical health, mental health, and wellbeing
We are looking for you to have:
- NMC registration in the UK
- A confident communicator in high levels of both written and spoken English
- Relevant knowledge of national guidelines and procedures
- Desired experienced relevant to an orthopaedic environment
