Staff Nurse – Orthopaedics & Spinal Surgery
Location: Central London, UK
Salary: £37,987 – £45,643 (annual) depending on experience, including night shift enhancement
Role: Permanent, Full-time position
Pulse Nursing is currently recruiting for a Staff Nurse to join one of London’s largest private hospitals in their Orthopaedics and Spinal Surgery Unit!
The impressive clinic has 74 consulting rooms, 10 operating theatres consisting of a hybrid theatre and 2 invasive/day surgery theatres, a level 3 intensive care unit, 181 overnight beds and 59 daybeds. The Orthopaedics and Spinal Surgery unit has 20 beds and is adjacent to their physiotherapy and hydrotherapy department. Within the team, you will be working closely together to provide an assessment, diagnosis and treatment for a wide rang of conditions such as hip and knew replacements, ankle surgery all upper limb surgery and complex pelvic operations.
They are looking for a full-time permanent position to be filled! You will need to be flexible to work shifts over the course of Monday – Sunday, on a rotation of covering long days, nights and weekends.

Your responsibilities will include:
- Responsible and focus for individualised patient care
- Ensure assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of the treatment is all in line with evidence-based practice
- Promote safe practice and professional conduct art all times
- Be competent in the recognition of life threatening/emergency situations
- Work within a multi-disciplinary team to ensure effect care
- Contribute to research and development programmes within the organisations
- Be aware of the legibility and accuracy of nursing records
- emergencies
- Record and update all nursing records accurately
- Liaising with patients, families and colleagues
- Maintain and promote all policies to the clinic and NMC
We are looking for you to be:
- NMC Registered
- Have previous experience of working in an acute surgical ward
- Sound and evidence-based knowledge in general nursing and experience within Orthopaedic and/or Spinal surgery care would be desirable but not essential as full training is provided
- Excellent clinical skills, but not limited to, ECGs, Phlebotomy, wound care/management
