Staff Nurse – Intensive Care unit (ICU/ITU)
Location: Central London, UK
Salary: £37,987 – £45,643 (annual) depending on experience, including night shift enhancement
Role: Permanent, Full-time position
Pulse Nursing is currently recruiting for a Staff Nurse to join one of London’s largest private hospitals in their Intensive Care unit (ICU/ITU)!
The impressive clinic has 74 consulting rooms, 10 operating theatres consisting of a hybrid theatre and 2 invasive/day surgery theatres, a level 3 intensive care unit, 181 overnight beds and 59 daybeds.
It is a 13-bedded ICU unit with modern technology and equipment to support all conditions and provide specialised care for critically ill patients. They cover most specialities, including, Colorectal, Gastrointestinal, Gynaecology, Hepatobiliary, Neurosurgery, Orthopaedics, Spinal, Urology & Vascular surgery. You will be supported by a well known multi-disciplinary team including ICU consultants, PHD level specialist ICU registrars, nurses and allied health professionals.
They are looking for a full-time permanent position to be filled! You will need to be flexible to work shifts over the course of Monday – Sunday, on a rotation of covering long days, nights and weekends.

Your responsibilities will include:
- Lead on the delivery of individualise patient care
- Ensure assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation is all in line with evidence-based practice
- Liaise with all patients, staff and families
- Ensure NMC policies and protocols are followed
- Ensure all nursing records are accurate, comprehensive and maintained
- Promote a safe environment and high standards of care
- Be able to correctly use equipment within the unit following training received and departmental procedures
We are looking for you to be:
- NMC Registered
- Have previous experience of working in an acute high dependency and/or intensive care setting
- Sound and evidence-based knowledge in acute nursing, including mechanical ventilation, renal replacement therapies and an advance haemodynamic monitoring
