Staff Nurse – Cardiology

  • Location:  London Bridge
  • Salary: £33,000 – £36,000 per year + 9% shift enhancements
  • Hours: Full Time
  • Type: Permanent

This is an exciting opportunity to join a CQC rated ‘Outstanding’ Private Hospital with a ‘Platinum’ accreditation making the hospital the best place to grow your career. We are recruiting for a dedicated and experienced Staff Nurse to join their 28 bedded Cardiac Ward.

We welcome applications from Staff Nurses with experience in any of the following fields: Cardiology Cardiothoracic, Vascular, Respiratory, Renal.

As a Staff Nurse you will be responsible for providing skilled clinical and technical assistance as a member of the Cardiac team and to participate in the assessment of patient care needs and implement and maintain agreed standards of care.

What the role involves:

Cardiac Interventional procedures (Cardiac interventional procedures; Angiogram, Angioplasty, PPM insertions, Radiofrequency ablations, TAVI),

  • Cardiac Surgical (CABG, Heart Valve Surgeries, Aortic aneurysm repairs)
  • Thoracic surgeries patients (All lung surgeries and RFA lungs [involves chest drain management and removal].

  • Medical Respiratory
  • Surgical and medical Vascular

Skills & Experience Required 

  • Registered General Nurse with full NMC registration.
  • Experience in any of the following fields – Cardiology, Cardiothoracic, Vascular, Respiratory, Renal.
  • Ability to recognise cardiac rhythms useful but not essential
  • Excellent communication skills with good time management skills and the ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team
