Description

Position Overview: We are currently seeking a compassionate and experienced Specialty Doctor in Old Age Psychiatry to join our team in Stanford-Le-Hope, Essex. This is a fulltime locum role contracted for 3 months. The Psychiatrist will play a crucial role in providing expert psychiatric care to older adults, contributing to the enhancement of mental health services in Bradford and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient-centered care. The Psychiatrist be responsible for community medical assessments of patients living with dementia/cognitive decline who are in a crisis. They will be covering the catchment areas of Brentwood/Basildon/Thurrock. They will be providing support to substantive consultant, FY2 doctor on rotation and team. Joining daily MDT and 2 to 3 face to face visits per day, S12 assessments.

 Requirements: 

  • You must have a full GMC license to practice.
  • Relevant previous experience working in this type of position.
  • Section 12 approval is essential.
  • Approved clinician status is essential. 
  • Must have own car.
