We are looking for an enthusiastic, compassionate and dedicated Senior Nurses who are wanting to progress in their career offering excellent standards of care at this inviting, warm and friendly Palliative care centre based in Peterborough.
This is a key role that requires the post holder to have significant experience in palliative care. Strong leadership skills are essential to ensure the staff nurses and nursing assistants are well supported through clinical leadership and supervision.
37.5 hours per week – Full/Part Time hours available
Internal rotation including nights, weekends & bank holidays.
Salary £32,322 – £36,428 (£16.53 – £18.63 per hour) pro rata plus enhancement.

Duties and Responsibilities of a senior registered nurse
- Confident communication skills in dealing with patients and their carers at end of life
- Specialist symptom management
- Medicines management including administering regular medications and setting up of syringe drivers and IV medications.
- Assess, plan, implement and evaluate individualised care using evidence-based guidelines.
- Maintain all records in line with the corporate policies and procedures.
- Ensue the care team provide all care in line with the multi professional evidence-based care plan
- Act as a mentor and role model for new and junior staff
Requirements of a senior registered nurse
- You will be an NMC registered nurse with post-registration in palliative care, end of life care.
- Effective verbal communication skills, including an ability to communicate difficult messaged to service users and their families.
- Proven skills in leading, building and influencing a team
- Negotiation and conflict management
- Ability to provide teaching and mentorship in a clinic setting
