Senior Registered Mental Health Nurse
Location: Central London, UK
Salary: £34,260 – £41, 388 per annum depending on experience (+5% allowance)
Role: Permanent, Full-time position
Pulse has received the fantastic opportunity to work with the UK’s leading charity of supporting veterans with mental health problems such as anxiety, depression and post traumatic stress disorders.
They are looking to fill a permanent full-time position, over the course of 3 days as long shifts typically as 07:00-19:00 or 19:00-7:00. You will be on a rotational shift pattern Monday – Friday with occasional weekends.

The successful candidate will enjoy working in a fast-paced environment where excellence in patient care is the paramount goal. As a Mental Health Nurse, you will be supported by a multi-dictionary team in order to provide the correct treatment and opportunities to support all patients.
Some of your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- To carry out triage screening of new referrals
- To be able to plan, deliver, implement and evaluate high standards of holistic and patient focused care as a staff nurse
- To be part of a multi-disciplinary team
- To complete and maintain risk assessments and management plans ensuring that
appropriate risk documentation is completed and available to appropriate individuals - To receive and participate in clinical supervision in accordance with policy
- To offer evidenced based key working interventions on a regular basis
- To promote the health and wellbeing of veterans and maintain a safe, caring and therapeutic environment
- To keep clinical records up to date and in accordance with legislation and the policies of the Charity
- To implement audit and research findings to deliver evidence-based practice
- To lead and participate in the development and delivery of training within the team and to other professionals and agencies
- To provide support, guidance, and supervision to junior staff/students
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years post registration as a mental health nurse
- Experience of completing clinical audits
- Experience in risk assessment and management
- Experience in risk assessment and management
- Experience of the development and implementation of treatment plans and evaluation of client care
- Experience of discharge planning
- Ability to manage work under pressure
