Description

A senior clinical nurse specialising in Colorectal is required to join the Nursing Digestive, Disease, and surgery institute. Based at a beautiful clinic in London, the client are experts in the latest surgical techniques to treat a wide range of colorectal disorders. Specialising in caring for complex and recurrent diseases, such as advanced bowel cancer and inflammatory bowel disease.

Working at one of the worlds leading providers of specialist medical care. The goal of the friendly and experienced team is to create an inclusive environment to deliver world-class clinical care .

Full time 37.5 hours Mon – Fri 09:00-17:00 with flexibility when required as per the services needs.

Salary – Up to £55,000 depending on experience

 Duties and Responsibilities of a senior clinical nurse specialist – Colorectal

  • Act as a key worker for a clinical caseload, working to coordinate care and provide easy access for ongoing support for patients.
  • Use skills and expertise to coordinator care pathways for patient and inform them on clinical and practical issues associated with the disease/presenting condition.
  • Deliver evidence based individualised and personalised care through holistic needs assessments, including pre-procedure, pre surgery, inpatient and post-discharge.
  • Leads and initiates the nursing contribution to service development, ensuring the pursuit of excellence in care.
  • Deliver required training to staff across the clinic

Requirements of a senior clinical nurse specialist – Colorectal

  • You will be registered on the NMC register
  • Post graduate qualification in Colorectal
  • Extensive experience working as a clinical nurse specialist and can demonstrate clinical expertise within the speciality
  • Excellent presentation and training skills required, with track record of delivering clinical training courses.
  • Be comfortable training clinical staff in class-room environment, including large class sizes on occasion and comfortable to take leasing role in facilitation of training workshops
