Description

Pulse Nursing are looking for Scrub Theatre Nurse’s for a variety of shifts at Barts Health NHS Trust across Central and East London. 

Barts Scrub Theatre Nurses provide a high level of care and treatment for patients during their treatment period. You will work alongside surgeons during surgical procedures and support patients during recovery. 

Pulse Nursing are offering a number of shift patterns and flexible shifts across day and night hours in friendly and welcoming teams. 

Pulse Nursing are offering flexible shifts with rates between £32.50 – £45.00. 

 

Scrub Theatre Nurse responsibilities includes: 

  • You will set up the operating room for the patients, ensure all the tools are sterile and ready to use. 
  • Hand tools to the doctor during the surgery and perform other duties inside the surgical room requested. 
  • Act quickly in emergencies during the surgery whilst remaining calm and following instructions. 
  • Assist draping the patients and de-gowning patient  
  • Finish the documentation and hand over patient to the recovery room 

Each Scrub nurse role may vary depending on location and skill – TB discussed 

Scrub Theatre Nurse Role Requirements: 

  • NMC Registration 6 months  
  • Minimum of 6 months experience as a Scrub Theatre Nurse – able to provide 2 references for verification 
  • To meet our framework compliance requirements including DBS, and Occupational Health and Updated CV 
  • Right to work within the UK – proof will be required
