Pulse is currently seeking a full-time Registered Senior Staff Nurse (SSN) to join a pioneering private hospital, located in South London, who provide a wide range of specialties such as Cosmetics, ENT, Endoscopy, Gastroenterology, General, Gynaecology, and many more. The successful candidate will be joining their team on nights shift basis, only.

About The Role

As a Senior Staff Nurse, you will work as part of a multidisciplinary team, providing clinical leadership, acting as a mentor and role model, managing patient care, and leading the unit in the absence of the Ward Manager. You will assist individuals and teams in providing safe, high-quality, and effective patient care that is sensitive to our patients’ and their families’ needs. Along the process, you’ll form strong bonds with consultants, hospital executives, a diverse spectrum of healthcare personnel, and, of course, patients.

What attributes do we look for in a Senior Night Nurse?

  • You will have experience and knowledge in team supervision in a nursing setting, including assessments and care plans
  • Must be a NMC Registered Nurse
  • Prior surgical ward experience is required for the Senior Staff Nurse post.
  • A passion for providing high-quality patient care.
  • You have excellent communication skills
  • You are knowledgeable about mentoring and multi-specialty surgical techniques.
  • You should ideally have qualifications in teaching, assessment, and management.

Your duties and responsibilities as a Senior Night staff nurse will be as follows

  • Help with scheduling and rotas, recruitment, induction, performance evaluations, and training.
  • Day-to-day supervision of junior nursing personnel and students, including clinical supervision
  • Must have great coordination skills in order to be able to facilitate patient care with the multidisciplinary team
  • Effective and efficient management of allotted resources
