Pulse is delighted to be cooperating with a hospice in Bedford. Based in a beautiful setting with a peaceful environment surrounded by beautiful gardens, fields and visiting wildlife.
You will be a vital key member of the team to ensure each patient, and their family receives individualised, specialist care. You will work on a busy 15-bed in patient unit alongside the multi-professional team.
Great nurse to patient ration enabling you to spend more quality time with your patients as they near end of life or are given the best support living with a terminal illness.
The hospice is always eager to welcome new candidates into the hospice for a visit during the application process, we can get this arranged for you.
Full time and part time hours available – 12 hour shifts
£27,805 – £30,582 per annum, pro rata plus 30% enhancements for nights and weekends

Duties and Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement and evaluate individualised care using evidence-based guidelines
- Maintain good medical records management using the electronic system.
- Carry out all clinical procedures, including various pain and symptom treatments.
- To ensure continuity of patient care by communicating and liaising with medical, nursing and other colleagues, providing accurate and timely reports of any changes in the condition of the patient
- provide exceptional patient care at all times
- Partake in education and training
Requirements
- You will be an NMC registered nurse, ideally with post-registration experience in palliative care, end of life care.
- Great communication skills
- Ability to be flexible, positive and work within the wider team
