Pulse is seeking to recruit compassionate and resilient registered mental health nurses (RMN’s) on a permanent basis for one of West Yorkshire’s top leading care home providers. They are looking for mental health nurses who are caring and passionate about supporting patients with learning disabilities and patients diagnosed complex mental health conditions. The care home also has a purpose-built hospital onsite. Their aim is to help patients to adapt to a normal everyday life and want to support them in how to lead one once the patient has been discharged. They work with local authorities, clinical commissioning groups and NHS Trusts.

There are extensive facilities on-site which include a purpose-built hospital where nurses could work at to assist with patients’ needs and requirements. They also have cottages; each cottage is used for different purposes and treatments.
Cottage 1 – is a 4 x 8-bed en-suites dedicated to engagement and specific needs assessments.
Cottage 2 – offering- 6 en-suite bedrooms and one apartment that provides a care home atmosphere with nursing that improves relapse prevention skills and symptom management.
Cottage 3 – houses 12 self-contained studios with or without nursing input for greater independent living to promote a smooth transition into the community
Duties and Responsibilities will include but not limited to
- Providing treatment to patients
- Administer medications
- Conduct one-on-one therapy sessions
- Creating and maintain accurate patient records
- You be helping to maintain a safe and secure environment for other staff and patients
- You be required to help with assisting and implementing patient care plans which incorporate risk assessments, risk management and engagement plans
- You be aware of all health and safety polices
Ideal Candidate & Requirements
- At least 1 year of registered mental health nursing experience
- Have a valid NMC pin
- Will be able to work in fast paced environment
- You are passionate about a growth and development in Mental health nursing
- Principles of therapeutic relationships
- You are motivated and enthusiastic
- You will have time management skills and ability to tolerate frustration
