Description

Registered Mental Health Nurse

Location: Central London, UK

Salary: up to £40,000 per annum

Role: Permanent, Full-time position

Pulse has received the fantastic opportunity to work with a Central London specialist private clinic focusing on Eating Disorders to recruit a Mental Health Nurse for their day case unit.

They are looking to fill a permanent full-time position, over the course of 4 days in 10-hour shifts. The clinic is open Monday to Friday only. Shift patterns can either be 9:00am – 17:30pm or 11:00am – 19:30pm (this can be discussed in the interview and is based on the service needs).

This is a unique opportunity where the main clinics focus is on eating disorders (ED) so ideally, they are looking for an individual with previous experience or keen to learn about ED.

The successful candidate will enjoy working in a fast-paced environment where excellence in patient care is the paramount goal. The clinic focuses on providing and tailoring all patients with the correct treatment place to support them in their recovery journey.

Their recovery process offers:

  • Psychiatry care
  • Psychotherapy
  • Psychology care
  • Dietetics
  • Occupational therapy
  • Trauma therapy
  • Family therapy
  • Focused support on body images

As a Mental Health Nurse, you will be supported by a multi-dictionary team in order to provide the correct treatment and opportunities to recover to all patients and families. You will be required to adapt to all situations as each recovery process will differentiate from patients and families.

Your focus will be on working with the underlying causes that reinforce the eating disorder:

  • Offering 1:1 clinical support during meals and processing
  • Participating in stepped programmes: this can entail extend-day, full-day or part-day to support the recovery process
  • Understanding there can be experienced unplanned setbacks and how we can integrate it into daily life

Benefits include; contributory pension, clinic that is opened Monday – Friday only and clinic closure on bank holidays as well as Christmas.
