Description

Pulse is delighted to be cooperating with a beautiful private hospice in Reading, you will play an active role within their team. It’s all about giving patients the best possible quality of life. The support offered is tailored to meet individuals’ medical, social, spiritual and emotional needs.

£28,939- £32,772 Per Annum DoE pro rata

Full time & part time hours
12 hour and 7.5 hour shifts on offer
Contracts for nights and weekends available

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assess, plan, implement and evaluate individualised care using evidence-based guidelines
  • Provide support, leadership appraisal and supervision to team members as appropriate
  • Act as an ambassador of the hospice to service users and their relatives, colleagues and members of the public.
  • To ensure continuity of patient care by communicating and liaising with medical, nursing and other colleagues, providing accurate and timely reports of any changes in the condition of the patient
  • provide exceptional patient care at all times
  • An ability to work in a complex and stressful environment demonstrating effective and appropriate coping strategies

Requirements  

  • You will be an NMC registered nurse
  • Relevant post-registration training or willing and able to gain within 1 year
  • Palliative care knowledge and experience
