Are you based in North London looking for a new role in healthcare? Pulse Nursing are seeking passionate Paediatric Healthcare Assistants to work with us.
Working in the field of Paediatric healthcare involves working closely with children and their families to provide the best quality care. In meeting patients needs and requirements you will have a positive impact on their lives and time in the healthcare setting.
Pulse Nursing have recently secured a Tier 0 status with five well established trusts in North Central London. Having a Tier 0 status means that we receive advanced notice of shifts before other agencies, with exclusivity of these shifts.
This opportunity is based near Euston (closest station is Russel Square), and will be paying between £12.00 – £22.76 per hour with a range of availability of shifts, including the option of full time equivalent hours.
Paediatric Healthcare Assistant Responsibilities Includes:
· Provide support for paediatric nurses in the implementation of an agreed care plan for the patient
· Maintain a caring, supportive environment for the patient and their families
· Work collaboratively with other departments to provide multi-disciplinary care
· Take observations such as blood pressure and temperature, height, and weight, utilising the paediatric early warning score system as per hospital policy and escalate appropriately to the trained nurse
· Assist with keeping the department clean and tidy, for example cleaning of equipment, always adhering to infection prevention and control policy and hospital procedures
· Keep supplies and equipment in order, assisting in the maintenance of stock levels
· Maintain contemporaneous patient records including patient pathways and the relevant IT reporting systems are up-to-date and accurate ensuring countersigned by a trained nurse
· To assist the qualified paediatric nurses to care for children across all areas of the hospital including pre-assessment, day surgery and outpatients in line with national guidelines, hospital policies and best practice standards.
Paediatric Healthcare Assistant Role Requirements:
· Minimum of 6 months experience in a clinical setting
· To meet our framework compliance requirements including DBS, Occupational Health, Clinical References and Updated CV
· Right to work in the UK – Proof will be required
