Paediatric Clinical Nurse Advisor

Location: Dorset

Salary: £33,182.50 + company car and surrounding areas.

*Bonus Incentives*

Role: 35 hours per week, 5 days a week, 8am – 6pm

Pulse is working alongside a global healthcare company that specializes in lifesaving medicines and technologies for infusion, transfusion and clinical nutrition. We are recruiting for a Paediatric Clinical Nurse Advisor to work within Dorchester and surrounding areas for community nursing. 

Please see below details of what the role will enquire:

  • Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team to aid the facilitation of a safe discharge and ongoing care of our enterally fed patients
  • Directly liaising with Dietitians and Nutritional teams to manage the care and nutritional support of our patients within the community
  • Responsible for the training of our enterally fed patients, families and carers
  • Managing a patient caseload, providing ongoing support in the community for patients, carers and healthcare professionals
  • Regular patient visits may include the care of Naso gastric tubes (NG tubes) , gastrostomy tubes, pumps and advice
  • Working within the NMC Code of Conduct and professional practice.

 

What requirements are needed to be successful in the job role?

  • Registered children’s Nurse with a current and valid NMC registration
  • A minimum of 1-year post-registration clinical experience
  • Must have a clean Driving licence
  • Ability to work in a one-to-one patient environment and conduct interactions with confidence and professionalism
  • Flexible and adaptable to the changing needs of the business
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to manage own workload

Please be aware this employer is interested to speak with nurses that are looking for a career in eternal feeding and don’t currently have the experience as they can train. No IV skills required nor blood taking required either. 

You will also be working alongside dietician’s and nutritionist in the hospital to meet every patients needs. Another additional skill set required is to plan your work load so organization is key as well as time managing as you will have a number of visits to complete.
