Pulse nursing has partnered with a world-renowned, pioneering private fertility clinic based in Central London. They are seeking for a passionate, devoted Operating Department Practitioner (ODP) or an Anaesthetic nurse to join their team on a permanent role basis.

About the role

As an Anaesthetic Nurse /Operating Department Practitioner (ODP) will you work as part of a team on the IVF ward to provide high-quality nursing care and patient safety in the theatre unit.

Your Responsibilities and Duties as an Operating department practitioner (ODP)/ Anaesthetic Nurse

  • Comply with IPC/HSE regulatory requirements for the Theatre/Ward area’s health and safety.
  • To work in accordance with the NMC and appropriate professional norms, for a specific group of patients, and to accept responsibility for
  • Admitting patients, recovering them on second stage post-Anesthesia, and sending them home as needed.
  • Collaborate closely with the Theatre Manager and colleagues to produce a positive cohesive environment while rotating between all sections of the Theatre and Ward and executing all jobs to a high standard.
  • To rotate between Ward, Scrub, and Anaesthetic Nursing responsibilities to demonstrate strong skills and abilities.

Ideal Candidate

  • Worked as an Operating Department Practitioner (ODP) or Anaesthetic Nurse
  • Registered to practice in the UK / NMC Registered
  • RGN 2 years minimum within relevant clinical experience is required
  • Have Anaesthetics/Scrub experience
  • Preferably have Gynecology experience, but not essential
  • To be able to communicate with all members of the multidisciplinary team efficiently and effectively
  • To have leadership skills
  • As you rotate around all sections of the Theatre & Ward, you will be working closely with the Theatre Manager and your coworkers to deliver a positive, cohesive environment while performing all chores to a high standard
  • As you will  be rotating between ward, scrub, and anaesthetic nursing , you will need a good understanding and experience in Scrub and Anaesthetic Nursing
