Pulse Nursing is delighted to offer ODP/Theatre Nurse in Birmingham a fantastic opportunity to join a qualified team of nurses. As an ODP/Theatre Nurse, you will provide high standards of skilled care and support during each phase of a patient’s including anaesthetic, surgery, and recovery.  

This role is highly rewarding, you get to see the difference you can make to patients’ lives, support patients during their most vulnerable moments and promote their dignity whilst in your care.  

We can offer you a range of shifts from ad hoc or more regular shifts. Rates of £35.00 – £40.00 p/h are available. 

ODP/Theatre Nurse Scrub responsibilities includes: 

  • preparing all the necessary instruments and equipment for surgery, including microscopes, lasers, and endoscopes 
  • providing the correct surgical instruments and materials to the surgeon 
  • Assisting the anaesthetic doctor to make the patient safe during general and local anaesthesia. 
  • being responsible for all surgical instruments, equipment, and swabs during the operation 
  • Acting as a link between the surgical team and other parts of the theatre and hospital 
  • Maintaining infection control and following practices 
  • Providing care for patient before during and after the procedure 
  •  

ODP/Theatre Nurse Scrub Role Requirements: 

  • NMC Registered 
  • Able to meet our framework compliance requirements, References and Occupational Health and Updated CV 
  • Has a minimum of 6 months working experience in an NHS setting (in the last 12 months)
