Are you a patient and empathetic Speech Language Therapist seeking a rewarding new role?

Our client is currently seeking a qualified Speech and Language Therapist to welcome into their specialist Neuro Rehabilitation team at a dynamic private practice based in London. The appointed Speech therapist will join the service as soon as possible, working full time hours each week on a permanent contract.

This role will provide therapy provision to neurosciences wards, including Neuro-Rehabilitation and Neurosurgery, as well as work within the wider therapy team providing speech and language therapy expertise.

Job responsibilities:

  • Assist in operational management and delivery of speech and language therapy with advanced assessment, management and clinical reasoning including linking in with the wider MDT
  • Provide and act as a source of clinical expertise in speech and language therapy management of neurological patients to MDT, deputising for the speech and language therapy lead as required
  • Educate and train speech and language therapists and other MDT members with innovation and passion around neurological care, the role of speech and language therapy and rehabilitation.
  • Take a proactive lead in using routine outcome measures to improve patient care at a local and national level as appropriate to role
  • Provide highly supportive supervision and coaching to other therapists

To be considered for this role applying Speech therapists must have:

  • HCPC registration
  • Relevant qualifications within Speech therapy
  • Previous experience of managing a caseload involving assessment and treatment of dysphagia (Minimum 12 months experience)
  • Excellent listening and communication skills
  • The ability to work well as part of a team
