Are you a patient and empathetic Speech Language Therapist seeking a rewarding new role?

Our client is currently seeking a qualified band 7 Speech and Language Therapist to welcome into their specialist Neuro Rehabilitation team at a dynamic private practice based in Kent. The appointed Speech therapist will join the service as soon as possible, working full time or part-time hours each week on a permanent contract.

The ideal Speech and language therapist will have experience and confidence in working with dysphagia management and neurological rehabilitation, to treat adults with a broad range of neurological conditions.

Duties include:

  • To take a lead role in managing the provision of the Speech and Language Therapy service for patients with traumatic and acquired brain injury, ensuring high standards of clinical care and actively contributing to wider service development
  • To oversee the line management and clinical supervision of Speech and Language Therapists and carry a clinical caseload
  • Carry out advanced level assessment (standardised and non-standardised), treatment, and outcome measurement of communication and swallowing for patients with highly complex neurological presentations following acquired and traumatic brain injury

To be considered for this role applying Speech therapists must have:

  • HCPC registration
  • Relevant qualifications within Speech therapy
  • Previous experience of managing a caseload involving assessment and treatment of dysphagia (Minimum 12 months experience)
  • Excellent listening and communication skills
  • The ability to work well as part of a team
