Are you an Occupational Therapist who specialises in Neurology?

Our private client is looking for an experienced and caring Occupational Therapist to join their fantastic team, based in Nottinghamshire. The post is available to start as soon as possible, offering full-time and part-time hours per week in a permanent role.

The appointed Therapist will be responsible for patients who have progressive/non-progressive neurological conditions by carrying out comprehensive assessments and liaising with other healthcare professionals to provide a high-quality service to all users.

To be considered for this role you must:

  • Have as a minimum a BSc or recognised postgraduate diploma in Physiotherapy/ Occupational Therapy
  • Hold a current registration with the HCPC
  • Have a proven track record of expertise in the area of Occupational Therapy
  • Have a person-centred ethos, showing empathy and a desire to make a difference
  • Be able to demonstrate initiative and creativity
  • Be flexible and adaptable, well organised and able to manage time and workload effectively in line with the needs of the service

Duties within this role will include:

  • To participate in the provision of high-quality therapeutic activities, using a wide range of approaches to suit the patient’s varying needs, including respiratory treatments
  • Encouraging independence and personal choice and help to provide an environment which is conducive to patients with varied and complex needs realising their potential to live as independently as they can
  • Ensure that you provide evidence-based practice and are outcome focused
  • To communicate and liaise effectively within a multi-disciplinary team
  • To take an active role in the development of personal and professional development of yourself and of other staff
