Pulse Nursing are looking for experienced and dedicated registered Intensive Care Nurses (ITU) to work around Edinburgh area. We are also delighted to offer shifts across other locations in Scotland.

Pulse needs more nurses that will provide urgent and critical care for these vulnerable adults around the clock. This role is fast paced, yet extremely rewarding and allows you to be part of a patients journey to recovery.  We are offering you a variety of shifts with pay rates between £30.97- £49.54 per hour.

Intensive Care (ITU) Nurse responsibilities includes: 

  • Plan, implement and evaluate care
  • Regular assessment and monitoring of patient’s vital signs
  • Perform different types of observations and use of different monitoring systems
  • Use and ensure working function of varied medical equipment such as ventilators, infusions, pumps, feeding pumps, monitors
  • Administer medication via different routes
  • Care for patient receiving invasive and non-invasive ventilation
  • Communicate effectively with members of the multidisciplinary team, patients, and relatives
  • Make appropriate referrals and prepare patient for discharge or transfer
  • Keep accurate and timely patient records and follow local policies and procedures

Requirements for this role: 

  • At least 6 months recent UK NHS experience within a clinical setting in the last 12 months
  • A current NMC pin
  • Ability to provide a clinical reference as well as covering the last three years of employment
  • Holder of a PVG certificate or able to gain this certificate.
  • Able to provide proof of immunizations
