Mobility Care Worker/Healthcare Assistant – Older Person’s Unit

Would you like to help busy hospital wards and be a crucial part of patients’ therapy and recovery and develop your skills in the meantime working closely with other Healthcare Professionals?

We have a Mobility Care Worker/Healthcare Assistant opportunities in Bath to work at the Royal United Hospital. The primary purpose of this post is to enable and support mobility and active routines for patients on the ward relative to each patient’s capability and normal routine.

Permanent, full time jobs are available on a standard 9:00 – 17:00 and 7 days a week Rota – 37.5 hours per week.

You will start shadowing healthcare staff at the Royal United Hospital (RUH) Wards and support the Nursing team with vital care for their patients with the opportunity to later be seconded to the community to help United Care Bath as a Social worker.

Some care experience is essential and you should be compassionate and reliable, sensitive to the needs of the people you work with.

Requirements:

  • In possession or undertaking the Level 3 NVQ or Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF) Health and Social Care Award
  • Understands and committed to a caring approach to patients & relatives
  • Confident with use of mobility aids –WZF/walking sticks, sara stedy, gutter frames and hoists
  • Completion of Care Certificate
