Pulse Nursing are looking for charismatic professionals to help assist our wonderful patient’s in Melton Mowbray. Are you the next Healthcare Assistant that will make a positive impact to patient’s lives?
Join a fantastic team of Healthcare Assistants that aim to provide care for patients around Melton Mowbray. As a General Healthcare Assistant, you will play a vital role for patients by improving health and wellbeing. Collectively, we can focus on improving patient care and the support they receive during their recovery period.
We are offering you a variety of shifts with pay rates between £11.71– £18.99 per hour
Health Care Assistant:
- Report and liaise with the nurse in charge and the qualified nursing team you are allocated to work with
- Follow instruction/direction from the qualified nurses
- Deliver care in accordance with the individual care plan
- Monitoring patients, use of NEWS2, record and report symptoms or changes in the patient’s conditions
- Assist patients with nutritional requirements
- Support patients with mobility in line with therapy assessment/recommendations
- Complete all appropriate documentation/charts
- Follow all organizational policies and procedures
HCA Role Requirements
- Minimum of 6 months experience as a General Healthcare Assistant
- PMVA training (can be provided)
- Supporting individuals who require post-acute care, active or slow stream rehabilitation or continuing care
- Working as part of a team in a 50 bedded neuro rehabilitation service
- Providing specialized, high quality, rehabilitation-focused care for those living with an acquired brain injury (ABI) or progressive neurological condition (PNC)
- Working with patients who have suffered traumatic and non traumatic brain injuries
- Aneurysm or stroke
- Anoxia (lack of oxygen to the brain e.g. as a result of drowning, heart attack, asthma attack)
- Brain Tumors (benign, malignant)
- Brain Infections (e.g. meningitis, encephalitis)
- Poisoning (e.g. alcohol, non-prescription, prescription and illicit drugs)
- To meet our framework compliance requirements including DBS, Occupational Health, Clinical References and Updated CV
- Right to work within the UK – Proof will be required
