Fertility/IVF Nurse
Location: Borehamwood, UK
Salary: starting £30,000 – £32,000 (annual) depending on experience can negotiate 
Role: Permanent, Full-Time position 

Pulse is delighted to be working alongside one of UK’s outstanding private In Vitro Fertilisation (IVF) clinics to recruit a Fertility Nurse to join their amazing team of nurses and specialist fertility consultants! 

They are looking to fill a full-time opportunity to support the clinic hours through Monday – Friday within office hours!

As a Fertility Nurse, your responsibility will be to support couples/individuals/families, physically and emotionally through IVF and other fertility treatments. You will be providing a pre and post treatment advice service for patients undertaking procedures/seeking advice with the clinic. The Fertility Nurse will also assist Consultants where required. 

Some of your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
•    That the patient has all the information required to commence their treatment and that they have a clear understanding of the protocols.
•    That patient(s) has all the correct medications prescribed and are aware of side effects and administration.
•    That all the appropriate screening tests are undertaken and valid.
•    Review patients tracking scans, to take the appropriate blood tests, and provide instructions and medication demonstrations.
•    Communicate as part of a multi-disciplinary team to review these scans and blood results to make decisions that lead to the best outcomes for patients. 
•    Regularly communicate with patients via email and phone calls during clinic hours, as well as out of hours via the emergency line.
•    Completing monthly audits 
•    Completing and updating weekly medication counts, expiry checks and orders. 
•    Ensuring all blood forms are prepared for the following day (with the support of HCA’s). 
•    Reviewing SOP’s.
