Dermatology Lead Nurse

Location: Central London, UK

Salary: up to £45,000 (annual) depending on experience

Role: Permanent, Full-Time position

Pulse is delighted to be working alongside one of London’s top private dermatology clinics to recruit a Lead Nurse to join their passionate team of specialists in Dermatology!

They are looking to fill a full-time opportunity to support the clinic hours through Monday – Friday within office hours!

The lead nurse will be an integral post within the clinic to ensure the delivery of individualised high standards of patient care as well as working with the Dermatologist and Surgeons to support general dermatology, skin cancer surgery and other outpatient clinics.

You will lead follow-up clinics including: phototherapy, cryotherapy, acne, patch testing, minor surgery and completing a comprehensive skin history in order to perform a full skin assessment on each patient.

Roles and responsibilities:

  • Supervise and co-ordinate all dermatology clinics
  • Assist in mentorship and teaching of junior staff, student nurses and HCAs
  • To perform all aspects of relevant nursing care for patients. Including specialist dressing/ bandaging techniques, removal of sutures/clips
  • Assist medical staff with fine needle aspirations, core biopsies and take responsibility for collection / labelling of specimens
  • Phlebotomy skills
  • Assist in clinical audits
