Deputy Ward Manager
Salary: Competitive depending on experience (£41,000-£47,000)
Location: Staffordshire / Uttoxeter
Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday – Full time. Permanent position. 37.5 hours per week.

Pulse has an excellent opportunity for a Deputy Ward Manager, to work in a brand-new site in Uttoxeter. Our client is a pioneering, cutting edge healthcare provider – changing the approach to our mental health services for children and adolescents. Aiming to transform children’s mental health service and address the challenges of the current Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS). The successful candidate will be leading the delivery of quality mental health nursing care.
What will be your daily responsibilities?
- Leading the delivery of quality mental health nursing care and treatment for an inpatient Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) ward of 12 patients
- Supporting the Senior Clinical team in shaping nursing practice and service developments from the ground floor at a new and innovative service
- To take charge of arranging admissions of young people to the home in accordance with the Company’s policies and procedures in the absence of the registered manager.
- Ensure that necessary medical examinations and treatments are delivered and that they are reviewed on a regular basis.
- Promote, encourage, and engage in social activities for young people’s benefit.
What requirements do I need to be successful?
- A qualified nurse, either mental health trained (RMN), learning disabilities (RNLD), or child health trained (RCN)
- 2 years post-registration experience is essential
- Inpatient experience is essential
- CAMHS experience is desirable
- Background as a Clinical Nurse is desirable
