Job Title: Consultant in Old Age Psychiatry (Inpatient Experience)

Are you an experienced and dedicated Consultant in Old Age Psychiatry with a strong background in inpatient settings? Pulse Mental Health, a leading recruitment agency specializing in mental health professionals, is actively seeking a Consultant in Old Age Psychiatry to join our prestigious team.

Responsibilities:

  1. Provide expert clinical leadership in Old Age Psychiatry, with a focus on inpatient care.
  2. Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop tailored treatment plans for elderly patients with complex mental health needs.
  3. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure integrated and holistic care for older adults.
  4. Lead and contribute to the development and implementation of service improvement initiatives.
  5. Provide supervision, mentorship, and support to junior medical staff.
  6. Maintain accurate and timely clinical records in compliance with professional standards.

Requirements:

  1. GMC registration with a license to practice in Psychiatry.
  2. CCT in Old Age Psychiatry or equivalent qualification.
  3. Substantial experience as a Consultant in Old Age Psychiatry with a focus on inpatient care.
  4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with patients, families, and colleagues.
  5. Commitment to continuous professional development and adherence to ethical guidelines.
  6. Eligibility for inclusion on the Specialist Register for Old Age Psychiatry.
