Job Title: Consultant in Adult Psychiatry – Inpatient Services

Pulse Mental Health, a leading recruitment agency specializing in mental health, is actively seeking an experienced and dedicated Consultant in Adult Psychiatry for Inpatient Services to join our esteemed team. Position Overview: As a Consultant in Adult Psychiatry – Inpatient Services, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality psychiatric care to individuals requiring inpatient treatment. Leading a multidisciplinary team, you will contribute to the assessment, diagnosis, and formulation of treatment plans for adults with complex mental health needs. This role requires strong leadership skills, clinical expertise, and a commitment to providing compassionate and effective care in an inpatient setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conducting thorough psychiatric assessments and formulating evidence-based treatment plans for individuals in inpatient settings.
  2. Leading and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive and person-centered care.
  3. Overseeing the implementation of therapeutic interventions, medication management, and crisis interventions.
  4. Contributing to risk assessments and developing effective management strategies to ensure patient safety.
  5. Engaging in continuous quality improvement initiatives to enhance the overall effectiveness and efficiency of inpatient services.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  1. Medical degree and full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC).
  2. Specialist registration in Adult Psychiatry.
  3. CCT (Certificate of Completion of Training) or equivalent in Adult Psychiatry.
  4. Substantial experience as a Consultant in Adult Psychiatry, with a focus on inpatient services.
  5. Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and lead a multidisciplinary team.
  6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fostering collaboration within the clinical team and with external stakeholders.
