This role presents an exciting opportunity for an experienced psychiatrist to lead and contribute to the delivery of exceptional mental health care for adults, shaping the future of mental wellness.

Position Overview: As a Consultant in Adult Psychiatry, you will play a pivotal role in providing expert psychiatric care to adults with diverse mental health needs. Leading a multidisciplinary team, you will contribute to assessments, treatment planning, and delivering evidence-based interventions, fostering positive outcomes for the individuals in your care.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conducting thorough psychiatric assessments and formulating individualized treatment plans for adults with mental health challenges.
  2. Leading and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality and person-centered psychiatric care.
  3. Overseeing and guiding therapeutic interventions, including medication management, crisis interventions, and psychotherapeutic approaches.
  4. Monitoring and evaluating the progress of individuals, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans as needed.
  5. Contributing to risk assessments and management strategies to ensure the safety and well-being of individuals.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  1. Medical degree and full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC).
  2. Specialist registration in Adult Psychiatry.
  3. CCT (Certificate of Completion of Training) or equivalent in Adult Psychiatry.
  4. Proven experience as a Consultant in Adult Psychiatry, demonstrating leadership and clinical excellence.
  5. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
  6. Commitment to continuous professional development and staying informed about the latest advancements in psychiatry.
