Description

Pulse are currently looking for a HCPC registered Clinical Psychologist to join our fantastic NHS clients older adult team based in South West London. This vacancy is available to start as soon as possible, offering 2/3 days per week for an ongoing period.

The successful candidate will provide a qualified clinical psychology service to clients of the Merton and Wandsworth Older People’s Mental Health Services, across all sectors of care including the Recovery & Support Team and the Memory Assessment Service. They will also:

  • Provide specialist psychological assessment and therapy to clients with severe and enduring mental health problems;
  • Offer advice and consultation on clients’ psychological care to non-psychologist colleagues and to other, non professional carers;
  • Work autonomously within professional guidelines and the overall framework of the team’s policies and procedures;
  • Utilise research skills for audit, policy and service development and research within the area served by the team/service.

To be considered for this role the psychologist must:

  • Have HCPC registration as a Clinical Psychologist
  • Hold a doctorate level qualification in Psychology (Clinical)
  • Have experience working with older adults
  • Be a great listener with strong communication skills
  • Be empathetic, observant and independent.
